Head of the Department's Responsibilities:
Implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, presidential decrees and orders, and resolutions from the Supreme Assembly and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and personnel training.
Fulfill work duties conscientiously.
Adhere to labor discipline, and promptly and effectively follow the employer's legal orders and instructions.
Care for and make rational use of the institution’s property.
Maintain friendly relations with the institution's staff and other parties in the workflow, following appropriate dress codes.
Participate in discussions and decisions related to department activities.
Approve departmental work plans, individual work plans for professors, teachers, and other staff, and other related documents.
Distribute teaching loads among department staff and ensure timely and quality completion.
Ensure selection of teaching staff based on competition, propose material and moral incentives, and recommend disciplinary actions as needed.
Coordinate with relevant university departments to ensure the necessary conditions for the educational and research processes.
Prepare reports on the department’s activities, present reports at scientific council meetings.
Conduct scientific research according to the approved plan, and integrate completed research into education, science, and production.
Review and evaluate the personal work plans of department teachers in various fields, including educational, scientific-methodical, research, and organizational work.
Introduce modern pedagogical and information-communication technologies, assist young teachers in acquiring pedagogical skills, and develop individual learning methods.
Facilitate the creation of an information base and effective use of modern educational technology.
Oversee the preparation and teaching of practical laboratory work, as well as ensure modern equipment and facilities are available.
Regularly update the educational resources and literature in the university’s information center.
Ensure teaching quality in line with state education standards and curriculum guidelines.
Supervise student practice, course projects, final qualification works, and master’s theses, and guide independent research and activities.
Monitor students' progress through ratings and organize extracurricular activities.
Organize professional development for specialists in the department’s field.
Organize clubs and workshops based on students' interests in various subjects and professions.
Organize events aimed at engaging students in productive work during free time.
Ensure laboratory work is conducted efficiently and that the department's laboratories are equipped with up-to-date tools.
Ensure the integration of scientific and technical literature into the university’s educational materials.
Participate in the development of educational programs and curricula in line with international standards.
Support talented students by preparing them for competitions and olympiads, including scholarships and state grants.
Organize students' research activities and involve them in scientific research projects, both individually and in teams.
Follow other obligations and rights set by labor legislation.
Manage international collaboration activities in coordination with embassies, foreign organizations, and international representatives, as per the university’s higher administration directives
